Swagman E-Spec Electric Bike Rack Review - 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Swagman E-Spec on our 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe. The E-Spec is a frame-mounted bike carrier, meaning that you're gonna have a padded hook on your cross-tube and straps on your front and rear cradle to secure your bike to the carrier. Now, if you have a carbon-fiber bike or unconventional frame, like a step-through bike, this isn't gonna necessarily be the best option for you. You may wanna go with a wheel-mounted bike carrier. However, if those aren't things that you're working with, then this will be a great opportunity to get some bikes on the road with you for your adventure. The E-Spec does not tilt, so you will not be able to access the back of your Tahoe when you're loaded up with bikes. more

Swagman Dispatch 2 Bike Rack Review - 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Swagman Dispatch on our 2024 Chevrolet Tahoe. The dispatch is a frame mounted carrier that supports your bike by putting a padded hook on your cross tube and having straps and cradles for your front and rear tire. So what this is gonna do is stabilize your bike with three points of contact. However, if you have a carbon fiber bike or a step through bike or maybe even just a nice paint job you don't want contact to, a frame mounted bike carrier may not be the option. You may wanna lean more towards a wheel mount. If that's not an issue, the Dispatch is a great option to get your bikes out on the road with you. more

Saris MHS 2 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Hi everyone, Charles here at etrailer and today we'll be taking a look at the Saris MHS modular bike rack for two bikes for two inch hitches on the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. So this is a modular platform style bike rack. It's gonna be perfect for your heavy bikes and your electric bikes. This is made out of a steel and aluminum construction that's gonna keep it very durable and finished with a black powder coat keeping it rust resistant. One of the great features about this rack is that it does have a tilt away function making it easier for you to open your hatch without having to remove the bikes. Today our handlebars are a little bit too long but I'm gonna show you how to tilt it away. more

Hey everyone, it's Evangeline here at etrailer. And today we have the Swagman Skaha 2 bike platform rack. We'll take a look at how it fits our 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. So the Swagman Skaha is good if you have heavy electric bikes 'cause it has a 60 pound weight capacity, and the this is compatible with the Swagman ramp and the bridge. I highly recommend getting the add on ramp if you are getting this rack because for the Tahoe you have so much ground clearance that getting those heavy bikes up is a lot easier with that ramp. Yakima StageTwo 2 Bike Rack Review - 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
How's it going everyone It's Ethan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo platform-style bike rack on our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. As I mentioned, it is a platform-style bike rack capable of supporting up to 70 pounds per bike, holding our bike predominantly by this wheel hook here and an additional strap on the back tire. It's nice that our rack holds onto our bike using this wheel hook, because that means there's no frame contact with our bike itself, so in the event that you're using a carbon frame bike or an alternative frame bike, it doesn't make any contact with the frame, so it won't damage your frame while you're driving. Another nice feature are the integrated cable locks right in the top of the hook here, so you can just wrap it around the frame of your bike and connect it right here on the front there to keep everything secure. Another great feature that this rack offers is the ability to tilt it away, holding onto the rack itself, pulling that black lever down there at the bottom, gives us plenty of clearance. more

How's it going everyone It's Ethan here with Etrailer. Today we're gonna be taking a look at the Saris Freedom Bike Rack on our 2023 Chevrolet Tahoe. The Saris Freedom is a platform style bike rack capable of holding two bikes up to 60 pounds each, which is pretty impressive considering its small form factor. And it's gonna be holding our bike primarily through these padded rotating center mast hook clamps. One thing to note is that because it is holding the bike by the frame, you're probably gonna want to avoid using carbon frame bikes because you wanna avoid any sort of frame contact with those. And for alternative style bikes, the fact that they rotate and move up and down should be fine, but something to keep in mind. more

It's gonna be a great way to get both cargo and bikes into your hitch where they're really easy to access and on your trips. The thing with the Yakima Exo system is that you need a hitch that's built to withstand all the weight that it can carry and luckily your Tahoe is ready to go for that. The Swagman Current is a platform style bike rack, it's gonna hold the bike in these wheel cradles, and primarily, by our frame. We've got a frame hook on the top and two wheel straps on the bottom for secondary points of contact. The frame hook is going to make frame contact, so that does mean avoiding our carbon frame bikes and picking up a bike adapter bar for any alternative frame bikes just so we have a solid attachment point. With this though, you do have a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, so it's gonna be good for some of our e-bikes. more

The Tire Hold is a platform style bike rack that holds the bike in these trays and by the tires. Now, that's gonna mean it has zero frame contacts, so it's gonna be good for carbon frame and alternative frame bikes, and it does have a 60 pound weight capacity per bike, so it is gonna be good for some of our smaller e-bikes too. Like many other platform racks this does have the ability to tilt away with bikes loaded. You've gotta handle at the back end that you can give a squeeze to lower it down. more

The Hollywood Racks is a platform style bike rack that holds the bike in these trays and by our frame. We've got a clamp that will hold down around the frame, tighten using a hand knob and it's fully lockable. So it does make frame contact which means we do wanna avoid carbon frame bikes but this clamp does rotate 360 degrees and it has the ability to pivot and slide and meet the frame where it is. So any sort of alternative frame should be just fine. more

It'll hold the bike by the frame hanging down below, with two straps over the top to keep it down in these cradles, with a third strap around the seat post there limiting our side to side movement. If you're looking to haul some really heavy e-bikes the Hollywood rack sport rider is gonna be the ideal one just because it has 80 pounds per bike capacity. So that's quite a bit also something else to kind of think about is the other bikes that you might wanna put on here. It does have frame contact, as you can see right here but we have two different sleeves. One is gonna be more of a rubberized sleeve and then the other one's gonna be foam. So you don't have to worry about your bikes, getting scratched up. If you have a mountain bike, downhill bike or even just a road bike. more

Yakima StageTwo 4 Bike Rack Review - 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe- Video
Hey everyone, Charles here at etrailer and today we're taking a look at the Yakima StageTwo Bike Rack for 4 Bikes on the 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. So this is your platform-style rack that's gonna allow you to carry up to four bikes and the versatility is great because of the weight capacity and the fact that it is being held by a front wheel mount, so you can carry those carbon fiber frame bikes or any odd shape type frames. On the back two rails, you're gonna be able to carry up to 60 pounds per bike and then on the outermost two, you're gonna be able to carry up to 40 pounds per bike. One of the many great features about this rack is that it does tilt away. Keep in mind that you could potentially be burying the weight of 200 pounds. It makes it easier to lift up a little so pull this lever out, but that way you can lower it down. more

The Yakima StageTwo is a very nice and premium bike rack and it looks awesome on our 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. If you really are going for the looks and you really want a premium bike rack this is gonna be the one for you. It kind of competes with the Kuat Sherpa which is a very popular rack, and why Is because we have two different colors so we have gray right here, but you can also get black. So that's kind of cool. You could pick, so you can really kind of customize your style. I really like the gray, but the cool thing about this is it is gonna give us 60 pounds per bike which is kind of a lot. more

Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Yakima Hang Tight on my 2001 Chevrolet Tahoe. If you're looking to get six bikes to and from your destination, the vertical style bike rack like the hang tight is gonna be a really really cool way to do so it's gonna turn some heads, one thing I love about it, is it looks pretty sick. So, whether you're just bringing the whole entire family and you wanna have a bike for all of them, whether you're bringing a couple buddies and you want to bring two bikes for each of them or also, if you just own a business, it's super quick to load up and there's plenty of spacing between there. So, for the business owners out there especially when your clients bring their own bikes you don't really have to worry about there being not enough room for 'em, It's quick, it's easy. And it just gets you up and down the hill or the trail a lot quicker. When we we're loading up the Hang Tight we didn't have any issues when it comes to clearance. more

To start things off, this thing can carry 70 pounds per bike. This little knob is kind of hidden away right here. All we have to do is loosen this up a little bit, and we're gonna pull this out. The Kuat Transfer is one of my favorite bike racks and it's definitely an entry level rack. And if you have a 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe you're in the right spot. We're gonna be taking a look at it on this vehicle specifically. The nice thing about this thing is we have two different types. We have one that could fit in an inch and a quarter or a two inch, and that's gonna give us 40 pounds per bike but you can get just the two inch hitch receiver option of the Transfer, and it'll go all the way up to 60 pounds per bike. So for some of those electric bikes you could use this one in the two inch only configuration and be able to get those e-bikes to end from the trail. more

We're gonna be taking a look at the Rhino-Rack 2 hanging style bike rack on our 2022 Chevrolet Tahoe. If you're looking just to have a very entry level rack to get two bikes to and fro, this is gonna be a pretty good candidate. Rhino-Rack does make a decent amount of nice features. But with this one we are gonna have a capacity of 33 pounds. So if you do have any heavier bikes than that, it's not gonna be the best for you. If you do have some carbon fiber frame bikes, since we do have frame contact, it's not ideal for those carbon fiber bikes. more

So once you get things loaded up on here, it's gonna take a lotta effort to tilt it away and get bikes loaded up, but that's why you have your friends and family there. So right away though, the thing that separates this bike rack from a lot of other 4-bike platform racks is the dual-wheel-style mounting option here. If you have e-bikes, fat tire bikes, you're not gonna have to worry about it not being able to hold them along with that, it's going to be able to hold your bike by the tires. Hey guys, welcome to etrailer.com. I'm Bobby, today we're taking a look at our Yakima Backroad 4 bike carrier on our 2021 Chevy Tahoe. Now right away we can see, this is a hanging style bike rack utilizing a dual arm support system. What's great about these dual arms, it gives slide advances over those single models that we have available on etrailer.com. As you can kinda see, this can tilt right and left, not very easily 'cause these dual arms are actually keeping intact. And if we take a closer look at these cushions here, on our cradles, we see it has a nice ration strap system. more
